Let Periyars admirers, especially those belonging to the Dravcidian outfits, clearly specify whether Periya's tirade also included the god of Christians and Muslims. The truth behind Periyar's pretence will be out in a trice. As for Rajashekharan's contention about Periyar's observation of mantra-recital being a 'mercantile' activity, my blunt answer is - leave what you don't understand well alone.
