Just check out the number of emigres suffering like in malaysia and in gulf.Hope you will at least a tear in ur heart for these poor souls. Emigration is not based on the level of english, emigration is based on the need to satisfy the basic human needs of food, water and shelter. When that is lacking in one's own native land, survival instincts take over and come what may one goes beyond shores even if it is a illusory mirage. Sitting in cosy AC rooms in chennai you wouldnt understand the sufferings of the tamils of bombay in 60's and 70's nor of the tamils in karnataka in 80's and 90's. And these tamils are not i repeat not forward caste/forward class, but people on the fringes of social/economic status.
