Periyar policy?
by Devarajan Sundararajan on Apr 30, 2007 11:57 AM

Any social principle become irrelevant with age. His ideology is no different. Communism has come and gone. but not his thoughts.
Irrespective of the time, one philosophy that never changes is affluence. Time has changed. If he had a status of talking to Gandhi, his accessibility to people would have been really less. All he could have seen was sychophants. Though people say he was against castism, his opposition to castism is never followed. he and his followers have not been against castism, he was all against those who tested his egos.

If he would have been a great human, he would have taken up against castism and not against brahmins.

Making a film on him is waste of money and may be the director has tried deriving some mileage out of this movie. It is better that we do what we are supposed to be. Movie on a social leader may sound thought provoking, An IAS officer should not waste his time on such stupid initiatives and rather concentrate on core work. If the officer does not have enough work, government better cut down on such positions and save some money.
