Periyar & Caste
by srinivasan sathya on Apr 30, 2007 11:41 AM

Mind by nature is violent. Religion is the concept introduced to regulate mind.In any
society, there will be some kind of social order one group or other; Most of the people
did 't study in India during pre 1980 not because of Brahmin, Parents don't want to send
them by saying u will not get any job. I know most of the South people migrate to Mumbai
after long 4 years idle period after degree in home by taking all embarassment from Parent &
visiting relatives. Govt of that day failed to act & did n't get confidence of the people
about education & its benefit. The same with Muslim community & they can't progress unless
they educate & give respect to their women. Reservation can't solve their problem.

So, DON'T PASS ALL THE BUGS TO BRAHMIN IN GENERAL.

I see most of the Brahmins are pursuing very humble life & represent soft characters to
others except few. Bad face of Brahminism is caused due to economical factors & very few
arrogant mind that humliate others. But every other caste is also doing the same. Anti
Brahminsm is the good selling concept for the politician & where they are in minority.

People may say Varnam & they have to understand one basic idea. In ur village, if u employ
other village people for ur farm work, they will stage dharna. Is it correct? They want to
pursue some order based on the people or by group strength. People life itself is the
evolving concept there needs to be an control mechanism for the regulation purpose of that
day order. U don't apply this day matured(?) mind with century back life.

Do we need to now think Brahminism as the bad idea? Don't confuse the principle with people.
