Just see the corruption level and cartelisation in Cement Industry. It is just because India's production capacity is 175-190 Mn ton whereas the conusmption is to the tune of 225-250 Mn. tone. Inspite of knowing that cement sector requires at least 30-40 cement cos , Govt is not willing because some of the ministers are getting benefit in terms of 1-2 Rs. per bag. Welspun, Ruchi Group, Emami, Reliance,Nirma, ABG, Essar, etc have shown their interest but none of them is find road easy because of Govt. laxity. Nirma plant is lying on coldstorage for last 8 years or so. Because govt officials are putting roadblock to stall it.
