True Genetic Blueprint
by Ravi krishnan on Mar 12, 2009 01:32 PM

The True Genetic Blueprint for growth in our country has always been agriculture and self sufficiency in food. But many of these software giants have burrowed into IT parks set up in fertile and cultivable land across the country just because of a few dis-illusioned land lords( Not farmers). I woiuld have appreciated if one of these companies had developed a software for proper cultivation and farming techniques. This would have helped the country in many ways. But no! Neither the proclaimed Narayan Murthy, Tata or Premji even gave a thought to it. They only looked at dollars that the US threw at them. i do not hold a grudge against the IT industry in any manner, but their lack of national interest doesnt just end with creating money for the exchequer of the government(which is corrupt any way). The example is Satyam, which paid several hundred crores of IT every month but in the end ended in a scam of several thousand! Yes they have contributed to personal wealth of employees but they have also immensely contributed to higher cost of essential goods. I hope this crisis makes them think hard so that they can forget the US and look inwards.( Pun Intended).
