Dear Ravi I dont think you have any knowledge of economics of the country. But I do appreciate your feelings. e were never self sufficient in food (only middle class who was which was also a tiny minority that time). The agriculture grows by less than 4% annually and we can no sustain 65% of our population on that. The IT companies have contributed to wealth creation and helped boom in construction, atomobiles and other sectors which have created many millions jobs. The need is to reduce dependecy of population on agriculture as employment means and also reduce dependecy of agriculture on mansoon which has been erratic.
