I disagree sir , Its not electorate which is at fault but the political parties at large . Elections till 1980s were all by and large national elections with national issues . Howver with mandalisation and kamandalisation of national polity , the elections increasingly started degenrating into local issues . Ad the process continues till date . Even these elections are being faught on Modi , raman singh , shiela dixit or YSRs personal charisma and state govt performance rather than about central govt . Both BJP and Congress are equally responsible for this state of affair , but is it such a bad thing ? At least this way the regional ambitions and aspirations are being met or at least getting expressed .
