It was all due to getting media gimics and popularity Mr. Kiren Rijijju asked Gowda and RRameshwar Gurjar to just come in the lime line. He did it just to show that he is a most promising and dynamic Sports Minister. How ever he had more wrong by doing so. More or less Mr. Rijijju had appointed one retired IAS officer on the Post of the Vice Chancellor of the National Sports University, Manipur. In the appointment Mr. Rijijju had flouted all the Regulations and qualifications advertised for the Post of the Vice-chancellor. Mr. R.C. Mishra, the IAS (Retired) has no experience on the Post of Professor even for one year as against the eligibility requirement of 10 Years and Mr. Mishra has even over age, as required of the 65 years.Even the members of the Search Committee for the selection of the VC was constituted as per the Regulations of the UGC.
