Our filmi fraternity are not aware of some of the old classics. Pyaasa by Gurudatt is rated as one of the 100 classics world over, the musical hits like Baiju Bawara, Anand Math, Gurudatt's Sahib Bibi aur Gulam, Raj Kapoors Jagate Raho, Boot Polish, Ab Dilli Door Nahin, Bimal Roy's Bandhini, Do Bigha Jameen, BR Chopra all films carry a message including the latest Bagbhan and entertainers from Nazir Hussain, Hrishikesh Dada (Anand, Chupke Chup Ke many more from him) Indian films are all classics and the producers have touched upon the contemporary issues and problems of this Country, like the Film Jagruti which demonstrates a good and loving High School teacher similarly, Vinod Khanna starer Imtihaan and so on. If I would list the pages would be insufficient, as films from 1940s to 1980s are all classics and entertainers.
