A good move by IOC
by Techno Savvy on Feb 22, 2019 11:50 AM  | Hide replies

Just reinforcing the point that Sport & Politics are distinctive & cannot be mixed. Emotion needs to be channelized & controlled, not spilled into all areas by making irrational statements like Bhajji & Chahal calling for a ban. We need to punish Pakistan for their support for Terror but it has to be done diplomatically & judiciously.

IOC needs to reinvent itself with realities ....
by Nalin Kishore on Feb 22, 2019 11:30 AM  | Hide replies

No two nations can fight and play at the same time ... olympics were suspended during world wars ... doesn't the IOC know that ? where were 1944 olympics held ? India should not succumb to this kind of armtwisting ... there is big money behind the games ...

IOC and its quick brains
by beacon desyne on Feb 22, 2019 10:12 AM

If some quick brains at IOC think that whipping India in any way will give a shock to India, they are living in past decades. European country's have already started realizing "how not to throw dwindling resources in such jamborees. These events work on advertisements, consuming markets and tons of cash. Very few countries have all these, India being among the top few. Will they keep conducting in one or two countries, always. IOC too needs India and have no choice, but to sensitivize itself to India's concerns, respect it.

Meanwhile, the SC has been
by piri on Feb 22, 2019 09:43 AM  | Hide replies

forced by the sheer weight of the case to agree to reconsider its pronouncement that it found no reason to look deep into the Rafale scandal !

The Modi govt sure has been hoping that the outrage over the Pulwama terror attack might take away the focus on the Rafale scam for long enough, at least until the elections are over !

The terror attack was beginning to be considered as a golden opportunity for the Modi govt to wriggle out of public glare at the Rafale loot.

Now, with a string of very incriminating circumstances that shroud the Modi piloted Rafale deal, the SC might find it very difficult to find another excuse not to open it for scrutiny !

It is not a coincident that Congress and Pakistan both don't want that India gets Rafale.

Get the Rafales, sure !

But only morons will believe that the Modi govt has not planned to pilfer public wealth on behalf of Anil Ambani using the Rafale deal as cover !
