Unless we produce good singles players we will never be a force in the field of tennis. Unfortunately there is no one in sight though Ramkumar and a couple of others are talented but there does not seems to be any one Ike Harry Hopeman to guide them.
In fact I was pained to see a player like Somdev retiring at the age of 30 plus and settling for commentary box when as a sportsman he should have been setting tennis courts on fire.
