There is only one sport that India is dominating in and that is cricket.In which other sports do we dominate. If someone points out our priorities if he is a foreigner you immediately find fault with him.
The Buddh International Circuit is one of the finest circuits in the world where speeds up to 300kmph can be reached. No other circuit has this trait. The politico-babu nexus and fights among state/centre govt killed this excellent sport. The BIC is a totally private enterprise with ZERO contribution/subsidy from any govt. Still the corrupt babus killed this sport.
I think there is a bit of over reaction. What I understood is that he felt India was poor before coming here but his experience was otherwise. ( conflicting ). More over he is a player not a politician who has to be politically correct always.
These guys are often intellectually challenged and do not know HOW to make a statement. But let us face it guys, we indeed are a poor nation and that is how the world knows us.
If we want to change this perception in the next 50 years we have to focus on development for everyone with the nonsense issues of religion, region, caste, mandir, masjid and get our priorities right.

you are absolutely rt.we can not project ourselves as developed nation by religion, cast politics and changing names of cities. we should stand above the religion and cast.
Me and my boys have been a great fan of you Lewis Hamilton and have been rooting for you to win the races. But one statement from you and you have lost me as your fan. India was made poor thanks to your ancestors who came, enjoyed, ruled, looted, divided and left the country. But now we are bouncing back and beware we will overtake your country "Lootera Britain"
