It's just disappointing to see that a player who is not inspirational , not a team player, not even the highest scorer (forget assists because he doesn't assist anybody) has won the award yet again !

It is just disappointing to see how can a all time great player who is purely self made on account of his hard work only and who led his teams to highest achievments be termed as non-inspirational and a non-team player!

Hari , what was Ronaldo's achievement last season ? He didnt score the maximum goals ; he didn't provide any assists . You will not find him running around the field trying to create opportunities. More than half the Real Madrid team was nominated for this award. So it's not that it was Ronaldo who won them the CL and La Liga titles. If anything , players like Modric and Marcelo have been more instrumental behind RM's success last season.

SS I agree with you. He is just a scorer who taps the ball into the post where others are instrumental in creating opportunities. He may score goals but does not create opportunities. He is not in the same league as Messi, Maradona, Pele or his coach Zidane. For me Messi is the ultimate magician and man with talisman. No matter what fifa says or does.
