India made the formal entry into WC stage in the first game against USA in the U17FIFA WC. However it was this second game against Colombia India has forcefully declared arrival at the WC stage with its spirited fight against a much stronger opponent scoring its historic 1st Goal. The transformation of the side from their first outing is simply remarkable. Now India must believe in itself and consider as equals to any other world side at least in the U17WC stage to start with. Thus the promise of a bright future to graduate to the seniors WC stage in due course of time certainly looks realist now. That should fulfill the dreams of country’s millions of fans to take forward the football legacy of the past 50s and 60s left behind by likes of Peter Thangaraj, Mewalal, PK Banerjee...only to name a few. The long years of hard work of AIFF members like Praful Patel and others to put Indian football on to the world map certainly seem to be bearing fruit and they deserve all compliments indeed.
It is never about being being anyone, in sports, it is all about giving fight and showing your mettle. Yesterday was historic, because we fought very well with a better team. We just could not convert two more chances in tjose 90 minutes. Also, being a sport spectator , we should also learn to appreciate EFFORTS rather than only being critical on losses. Till date we have only appreciated the risen sun (cricket), but we need to also learn to appreciate the rising sun (Football)
NO THATS NOT REIGHT, INDIA FIGHT BRAVELY WITH TEAM LIKE COLUMBIA WHICH IS ONE OF THE POWERHOUSE OF WROLD SOCCER, ITS OUR BAD LUCK THAT WE MISSED SO MANY OPEN CHANCES, IN A WROLD CUP YOU JUST CAN'T AFFORD TO MISS A SINGLE CHANCE. MOREOVER COACH TEMA SELECTION AND PLAYER CHANGING WAS ALSO NOT RIGHT, DON'T KNOW WHY KOMOL KHATAL WAS NOT SELECTED, A PLAYER WHO WAS IN THE STRIKER POSTION HARDLY CAN TOUCH THE BALL, COACH SHOULD CLARIFY WHATS THE USE OF KEEPING A USELESS PLAYER INSTEAD OF SKILLFULL PALYER LIKE KOMOL.

In football we are probably the poorest country in the world, we have neither history nor money to support us.
