A match well fought
by Joseph Thodukayil on Nov 26, 2017 09:41 PM

Sindhu fought very well but a few points were lost due to bad judgement and bad luck. Among the top world champions one can't predict the result of a match until the match point is won. If it's Tai tzu's day today, it could be Sindhu's day some other day. How convincingly she defeated the Thailand champion (who was also world No 1 some time back) in the semifinal match, yesterday. In badminton this flip- flop would always be there between two equally good players.Congrats to Sindhu for the Silver!

sindhu you are best

tai tzu is playing at different level.
gopi has to focus exclusively on sindhu only as she is our future hope.
saina should quit immediately without distracting gopi or sindhu.

What has Saina got to do with Sindhu losing? In fact, Sindhu lost to Saina in the Nationals. If you believe Tai Tzu is playing at a different level, then Sindhu just has to up her game. Blaming others for a loss is just an excuse and I don't think Sindhu ever will do that...blame others for her loss. So, it's best you stop looking for excuses to defend Sindhu, too.

saina is a selfish player.
ditched gopi, then ditched vimal kumar. no wonder she is craching in 1st or 2nd round.
but gopi and sindhu's attention is distracted.
as regards nationals, sindhu was fatgued, next time they meet just watch in any international, saina shall be beaten straight with huge margin.

why unnecessary call someone selfish. Sania was great at her peak but now she past the prime of her career and recent injury have restricted her movement on court. Still reaching semis in WC was big come back. She was the first to break the chinese dominance in women. It on player to decide which coach will be best for them during various phase of their career. They dont ditch at professional level. It was good for her to have coach who can fully give her his time. Similarly it was good for Gopi to spend time with few players at same time. Why start abusing the great players. It was their hardwork and years of effort and discipline which makes player great. This is what we she in Virat kohli who has sacrificed eating roti for sake of game.

Sindhus agonizing loss
by Magadi Raghunath on Nov 26, 2017 05:58 PM

You fought well to make us proud Sindhu! There is no shame in losing, only in losing badly. The scoreline says it all. There will be a next time and you will be on TOP!
