No franchisee tournament can contribute to the development of a sport unless it nurtures talent at grassroot level. No ISL franchisee is interested to start an academy to bring up young talent - they are just interested in making money. Anywhere in the world it is the clubs with academy which contribute to the development of football which is being done by the I League clubs.
