Relations with our neighbour
by suravarapu gopal rao on May 03, 2017 08:18 PM

While cutting all relationships is welcome, we should aim at getting back what we have lost i.e. POK. There is no reason for delaying the issue. While previous governments have not initiated action, what stopped the present government, when they publicised their intent on that some time back. Only sermons will not bring back POK.
The interest of Pakistan in the matters of Kashmir should be checked. Their involvement directly and indirectly should be condemned. In fact there should be a wall between the two nations.
Jai Hind. Jai Bharat.

We also must withdraw the MFN status of pakistan, also there in no point of having any ties with Pakistan, we should close our embassy in pakistan and also send back there people.

The contribution from MFN is less than 1% GDP and we export more then Import. The benefit is more to India than Pakistan.

I agree. Irrespective of who benefits from MFN status, we must withdraw the MFN status. Why only sporting ties or MFN status; we should close ALL DOORS on Pakistan. They deserve nothing except isolation and retribution. But will our Govt have the guts! Not till a senior Cabinet Minister is killed!

Absolutely right. Close our High Commission and Dy High Commissions. Stop giving visas. Just ignore them except for hitting them back.

And that's what we have been doing so far! Thanks to Mani Shankar Iyer, Digvijay Singh and their likes! But will Modi make some difference?

Why say "Until and unless". Haven't they done enough damage yet? Do we ever expect this leapord to change its spots? Ministers and their bland ultimatums! Just waste of time. Barks without bites!
