competing at the national levels, are routinely bred on performance enhancing drugs. And there are no systematic checks or the will in place to prevent this practice.
Indian athletes have not yet been caught (though there have been the odd occasions) in international meets only because their participation itself is very minimal !
Anju may not have taken drugs within the notified period before her jump at the 2004 Olympics. But that does not mean that Indians are guilt free in the matter.

I can bet you PIRI is a Pak*i just trying to raise anti-regional sentiments. Don't give him any importance. I must say that he writes better English than an average Pak*i.. must be the effect of regularly reading Indian websites ;-)
i had seen that jump of anju. she had given her best but bad luck she could not win the medal. now coming to know that the winners had taken performance enhancing drugs to win medals, i sincerely wait anju getting her due. thing is our athletes participate with their own strength and not by taking these prohibited drugs. future games, our athletes will win more medals.

I also saw that jump live and she also broke the national record. She was our only hope in athletics . Tatyana jumped so far I had that doubt in my mind that she must be using something to enhance her performance. A normal human cant jump so far,
This is another stupidity. Why they did not carry out the dope tests then and there itself? Some three olympics have gone by and all would have forgotten the incident also. Now, scrapping the medals and giving it to successors is just a joke. This Ajnu Bobby George used to act as if she has won gold then and now if this medal is given she will claim padmashri/padmabhushan some thing. This girl was never good at games and just because of her coach and husband, she came forward with government's blessings

Oh? Stupidity is it. You are ill informed. Actually samples from Olympics are nowadays stored and after wards when technological advances take place samples are retested, So get your facts rights. She lost to cheats.
