Route to final
by Michael on Jan 29, 2017 12:19 PM

Nadal has had a easier route to the final than Fede... Nadal has so far faced only one top 10 in Raonic... whereas Fede had to beat 3 top 10 players ... This is the best chance for Nadal to make it 15 GS titles.

Federer fans will be dissapointed , Nadal will prevail either in 3 or 4 sets .Federer unusually makes too many unforced errors against Nadal at critical times to lose the initiative .Nothing different tomorrow folks !

Whether I'm high or low... the fact remains the same... Federer is the GOAT... Until some one, who ever it may be ... either Nadal or Djokovic to beat the mark of Fede's GS titles will be regarded as the GOAT.. but then also Nadal doesn't have the overall records... so it remains that only Djokovic is capable of replacing Fede as the GOAT.

Amazing return to the top of the game for Nadal. He is definitely the greatest of all time, and Federer will not provide much of a fight. Max 4 sets .Federer is not better than Nadal, please ignore my earlier posts I was drunk.

Federer is all time great... Nadal will have to double run to match him

No, Federer is just one of the all time greats like Laver, Sampras, Borg, Nadal, and DJokovic. Nothing to separate him from them. Tomorrow, Federer will be doing a double run ( to the toilet).

Nadal seems to have changed his game style a little bit... he now plays more closer to the base line...

For many, only a miracle can see Federer win his 18th GS title that too against the Nadal.... But for me Fede can surprise and there are a few things goings for him.. He has beaten 3 top 10 players so far and seems to be in good form... also its hard courts at the Aus open... another factor is Nadal might have become tired playing a five-setter in the semis, nearly 5hrs.

Why Federer is better than Nadal?!
- He has won more GS titles at each of the GS, except at the French when compared to Nadal.
- He has been #1 for 302 weeks and Nadal, only 141 weeks...
- Has won 6 ATP World Tour finals... Nadal 0.

Nadal is better because...superior H2H, in all courts and all slams. Has won 8 Monte Carlo...Federer 0.Also Federer has played 5 years longer on the tour with much poor competition in his early days...

Djokovic has a superior H2H against Nadal and also more masters tiltes... does it then make him better than Nadal..? No not until he has beaten Nadal's GS titles...

The same is the case with Nadal also... he has to first beat Fede's mark of 17... Also who will beat Fede mark of 302 weeks as #1.. Nadal's Uncle..??

at last it's between Titans
by RMK Proprietor on Jan 27, 2017 11:39 PM

Age is Just No. Fitness & allround play matters. Federar(35), Nadal (30). Had tough games enroute to Final. Injury is to be blamed & not age or question about of their ability to play splendid game as usual. The noticing point is their continuous play since long period. Naturally, this causes Injuries to various parts of the Body. If the playing hand sustains injury to wrist, even the Champion player finds it difficult to hit the ball with mighty power, otherwise he could have easily converted the same to his point. Injuries to other parts also affect the Champion Player & makes them slow over the years. tHIS TIME ROUND it is beyond imagination a Dream Final between Two Titans, It is highly difficult to differentiate much flaw between them, They R indeed perfect players. They have every right to claim they rule the ATP.
The record upholds the strength of these 2 palyers
1. Nadal Rafael- 15 Grandslams wins
2. Federar Roger- 18 Grandslam wins
Other Younger players or general Public may term these 2 Champs as "Old War Horse". i say, they R fooling themselves by saying so. They realize their mistake only when they have seen them play. They R few among the greats who can turn stone into Gold. Such is their Valor. In absence of injuries, well, they would have cruised to final stage without any hiccups.
Ordinary players, Just bow b4 them after losing the match. In otherwords. Nad & Fed can walkover these small time players. Like walking on their Corpse.
