Great Match
by Rajagopalan S on Aug 28, 2017 11:06 AM

it was a great world cup badminton final match. Both Okahura and P.V. Sindu have extra-ordinarily played. Sindu has done her best and put a tough fight. Win or loose are all part of the game.

But one sad thing I must point out. some section of the gallary were just raising slogans and shouting 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' probably thinking they are encouraging and motivating Indian player.... Infact, I think these are distractions which should have been avoided... so that Sindu could concentrate on the game pointedly... Bad indisciplined spectators....

the Contrast

One the one hand we have two girls PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal making us feel so immensely proud and on the other we have Baba Ram Rahim who rape women and then his followers run riot causing crores and crores of damage and politicians sucking up to such low lifes-make our heads hang in utter shame. At least this last week we had something good to cheer for in this land of babas and gurus who have rarely done anything good except build their own empires.

I was not happy with the Grumpy Umpire who was summoning Sindhu all the time for delayed returns to the court. Also the fact that Sindhu had no referrals left were playing on her mind. According to the commentator she picked couple of shots which were clearly outside and still won those rallies.

who is little girl? Okuhara standing on the podium was also unable to reach the height of the indian bamboo. Height is a great advantage in badminton, But still okuhara was able to defeat her opponent who was at least two foot taller to her. This shows her mental grit and fitness. While the Indian was all over the place ,exhausted like a dawg, getting warning from referee time and again for delaying tactics, the japanese was fresh as flower even after the match has finished.

You must remember Sindhu feeds on idlis and veg food which are malnourishment lacking in proteins for sportspersons, while Japanese/Chinese etc., have high protein diet extremely imp for players, on top of it terrorists have banned beef, how do you think our players can have stamina comparable to others. Keeping this in my mind idli eating Sindhu's performane is outstanding,

What a FINAL. Hats off to PV Sindhu
by venkatachalam v on Aug 28, 2017 10:45 AM

She fought tooth and nail.
One rally went for 73 shots, that is a full 2 minutes of power game.
Okuhara finally won. May be as Sindhu put it it was her day. No point in the third game was easy. Both were playing top class game. No unforced error. Each point was on merit.
Great that Indians could watch in live.
ALL THE BEST SINDHU.

Super Game
by bommaraju ramarao on Aug 28, 2017 10:27 AM

It was an epic, I watched, the semi final from 2.00 am on saturday and the full leangth of game yesterday too. In the final Sindhu played very well, she was the higher seed, had certain advantages too. But it appeared that she did not believe that she would win the match. Many a time she let big leads slip by. At 19-17 in the decider she conceded three points. It was really draining and congrats to Sindhu for a wonderful match. Her disappointment is indeed a heart break. All the best for the future games.

fantastic
by Saba Pathy on Aug 28, 2017 10:26 AM

fantastic match; what rallies; women greatest finals ever. Only one can win and between the 2, both are winners.

Only improvement Sindhu can make is to reduced hurried shots. Some hurried shots in last 2 sets cost her some points. But ignore that, she was just too good. Enjoyed watching this match more than SL-I cricket match

Here's why Sindhu is 'upset' after epic final
by Ramdas Divgi on Aug 28, 2017 10:11 AM

Never mind Sindhu. We, all Indians, are very very proud of. You are an achiever and will continue to achieve higher and higher levels of success. Do not get upset, this is an opportunity to achieve next higher step. Remember that almighty all pervading witness will always be with you when you play. Just pray before entering the court.
