karela juice, no sugar coated lies. Truth is always harsh and bitter, the earlier we accept, more are the chances that we will ever change!!!!!! 90% of us feel the same, dont we? critical words from a open guy, lets take it seriuously and try to change. dont invoke false patriotism here!!! Unless we take stps to control our population, we are in for very very very serious troubles with the global warming, erratic monsoon, dangerous neighbours, unrests, water wars. the future is grave.

You need not apologise. You spoke your mind;that is what is needed.India has to face facts and reality .Your imagination is also I think correct. You might have expected something better without taking into consideration the things like the extent of corruption, the extent of non recovery of bank loans, the extent of banks not taking actions to recover loans and the like.I will thank you for speaking your mind truthfully. Now you could have been suggested by "politically corrects" to modify. That can also go on.But one should speak his mind.Otherwise how corrections can be made.R.Ponnambalam

Yes, we are in a dream world.

When the west business world for their selfish motives call as the leaders of 21st century, we thump our chest, sleeping in the dream world. Thank Kevin for saying that the king is naked. It is true that in many indicators that may not be known to him, we are far ahead. May be family values, mutual trust.status of higher education.. but the civic amenities, civic sense among citizens is abysmally poor in many regions.. the blame is to be on the make belief mind set of politicians. who misguide us.. wrong priorities..

not politically correct
by s kumar on Aug 12, 2017 04:45 PM

it may not be politically/diplomatically correct statement ,but may be factually correct or atleast closer to truth. Let us take this in right spirit and work hard . Often Other foreigners make us happy with politically correct statements and let us live in imaginary glory .

why cant indians take criticism
by Sreejith R.S. on Aug 12, 2017 03:57 PM  | Hide replies

he didnt call us the worst but i wonder how we can claim to be the best. when will we learn to handle criticism. we are really far from calling ourselves best in any field. so let us introspect, and work towards the day when we need not have to abuse somebody into saying india is best. it should come from the heart. also please do a self check as to how did you contribute today towards making india best, you will have no answers i am sure. we really need to grow up.

We are reminiscent of flying Aircraft in Ramayana, forecast by astrology and now renewed vow to save gau mata. Are these not enough to claim our superiority over the rest of the world?

He could have expected something better from what he might have heard or been told or might have seen countries like china and thought of India also like China., There had been reports in Indian news reports that we are 30 yrs. behind China in development .He is telling 20 years. It is a well intended opinion. We should welcome itR.Ponnambalam
