Have noticed numerous times, Mahesh being very critical and hard to Paes,, it's not about his present Form, this is a routine situation between them since last few years may be a decade.. I have never seen Paes saying bad about anyone in press or public,, it's always Mr. Mahesh and team ( which he has influenced in depreciating value of Mr. Paes )
Leander is a respected player. Agreed. That does not give the right to demand something. Is is not the time to give younger generation chance to show their talend. Even they falter for some more time.
I agree that Leander is a good player and gave a lot of laurels to the country in various international tournaments including Olympics. Leander is not at his peak and his seeding also is well below Bopanna. The selection of Boppanna is purely on merit and performance.

we know Leander & your contribution to Indian tennis. It is better not to respond through press conference at all. no matter whatever you you'll never come within 1/10 th of his contribution to davis cup team ever. He may not right at this moment but that does not permit you insult or demean him. Please stay quiet and let the game talk itself.
It has been a dead end for a legend like Paes which was expected sooner or later but this unceremonius way could have been avoided. But Mahesh being a politician wanted to deliberately insult Paes and show his upperhand.
