Let there be no doubt that last word has not been said on this and in a way it is good what is happening that could lead to a fair system where 'cheats' do not run away with unfair advantage. What is worrisome is that all the official sporting agencies have expressed concern only on the hacking part but not on the aspect of healthy athletes taking banned substances under whatever pretext that has given them unfair advantage over others having got the benefit of performance enhancing substance helped them compete better! Fact remains all such athletes have benefitted from the performance enhancement drugs they have been allowed to take by WADA for whatever reasons that gave them the unfair advantage that were not available to their competitors.Thus should all the respective international sporting bodies ,IOC and WADA claim no wrong doing in the virtual ‘legal doping’ then they might as well make it official and publish all the names of beneficiaries who have availed the banned substances under TUE or similar other exemptions. I hope all the national sports bodies all across the world including IOA in India would take up the matter seriously with their international counterparts and IOC to bring in more transparency on the matter.
They simply ignore the prohibited drugs in case of US athletes. But they banned the all Russians in Olympics and Paralympics. They banned Indian wrestler and destroy his career. What is this?
