If Murray wins the Shanghai masters then he stands a good chance to get year-end No.1... He has been consistent all year and should he win the Paris masters and ATP world tour finals then he should become No.1.
Djokovic has been No.1 for 220 weeks, so far... well ahead of Nadal's 141 weeks... but still far away from Fede's 302 weeks... This clearly shows how Fede has dominated in his prime.
The greatest tennis player based on ranking is this Federer.

One player who looked capable of breaking Fede's 17 GS titles first was Nadal. But I'm happy that Nadal is being put in his place, which is a kennel... the retriever that he has been made up by his Uncle Toni, is being dealt in the right manner, by all the players... He will not become No.1 again nor will his tally of 14 GS titles change.
