1st, to gift them a BMW was a mistake. But Dipa & rest should not have accepted BMW, used it for more than a month & then realized that they were not fit for BMW. Now they should be paid, if atall, 2nd hand value their BMW would fetch them OR ask them to sell it themselves & keep the cash.

No, dipa is doing the right thing. It takes time to explore the options for things they want to keep (Tendulkar's personal gift), but really aren't as rich as Tendulkar to maintain it economically. To stay in one's means is v. important.
