injuries happen to all , it is a part of competetive sports bit it is only a temporary phase. It is possible to completely recover and get even better (without those niggles in the knees). . with your determination you can make it happen . just hang on, dig your heels and don't give up

End of career?
by jai ghosh on Nov 03, 2016 01:07 PM

Dear Sania

If careers were to end so abruptly, then we should all have left the world. Don't lose hope; its only a passing phase. Just enjoy life for some time doing some other work and then come back with new vigor and you will shine. I can assure you that (from my experience in some other field).

I saw you struggling with your knee in Rio. I can recommend you alternative treatment called Pranic healing to repair your sports injuries.

far too many expectations from fans
by Dhantannan on Nov 03, 2016 10:42 AM

after her australian win.. people were expecting gold from her, which pushed her.
shockingly she lost in 1st round of olympics.
She cannot go to gopi academy bcoz of obvious reasons. she has to shuttle between hyd and bangaluru.
may be that's why she feels writing is on wall.

Take inspiration from our cricketers
by sirisha k on Nov 02, 2016 11:12 PM  | Hide replies

Please take inspiration from our cricketers. Even though they are nearing 40, they are not thinking of retirement. Until their Advertisement period completes, they wont think of retirement. She is just 26 years, I think she has another 5 years left to her career. Injuries may slowdown her career, but her experience will overcome age. Let us hope she will recover fully from her injuries and again play competitive badminton and will win lot of medals.

Please do not compare the lazy mans game like cricket to a sport like Badminton singles which needs very high levels of fitness. Cricket is played by some 8 common wealth countries whereas Badminton is played all over the world. There is no comparison at all.

So true, Cricket is a lazy man's sport. You just can not compare cricket with Badminton.
Badminton requires high level of fitness.

Destiny In That Case Holds A Greater Role For You.......
by Rishi Mehta on Nov 02, 2016 10:37 PM

.....Creating Future Champions For Who Else But A Champion Can ! Yes , Saina, though as a constant admirer of yours right from your early days, I can say with conviction that Indian Badminton is incomplete without your action on the court for a few more years....serious, competitive and winning action ! P.V. Sindhu cannot alone shoulder the sports lovers' and sports fraternity's demands of a golden phase of badminton which is now due to common Indians ....the demands of some a few more on-court 'shuttling skills as spectator thrills'....
