Why do you need for any official to attend. They only will add to cost and nothing else. Better, they already have chosen Mr. Salman and he is alone well capable of taking care of whole Indian contingent.

Disappointment for Indian Boxer
by TD Bhatia on May 23, 2016 10:21 AM  | Hide replies

It is a fact that our political leaders are more worried about their chairs and involving themselves in Cricket. They are not giving proper attention to other games which can give more recognitions in Olympic Games.

Mary Com should retire from active sports now and coach youngsters so that they can become capable of winning a medal at the Olympics.

Why ? Why not the officials take responsibility and resign ? Just read above to know how, despite the movie being made on her, the boxing federation officials in India is pathetic.

I'd suggest Mary to migrate to another country and represent them now, let that be a snub in India's face

I think she won Olympic Medal with same federation in place & same officials at helm.

Better to gracefully accept the defeat rather than being a cry baby.

As far Marycom concerned, best was way behind in past

It was obvious from the day a film was made about her she would never win (as it happens in India). It gets on to the head of every Sportsperson in India alone in this fashion. She can be with the family. She could not sustain even for more than 1 olympics and accolades for her while her counterparts in other parts of the globe are sustaining for 4 olympics. When are we going to learn from the West and East?????

At her age, I would suggest, she should be happy of what she has achieved, and the fact that she the was the first woman athlete from India to achieve this. It is time, for her to retire gracefully.

Any this cry-cry mode of our coaches, is quite pathetic. Instead of respecting the judgement, they will cry every now and then - for they do not want to be held responsible for the defeats.

At her age, Mary Kon should feel happy with what she has achieved and not regret not going to Rio. She is now an Rajyasaba MP and should see how she can help improve sport and boxing if not in India, atleast in th eNorth east. She has a chived enough for all of us to be proud of.

The unity and strength shown by BCCI in Australia to back Sachin & Co. is what is expected for other sports too !

This cheating/partiality is rampant in all other sports too. You need to stand up for it. But for India, in Boxing, not even the officials come over to attend the matches :(
