Weeks at No. 1 is NOT a criteria to become GOAT. Because it is dependant on quality of opposition and we all know who were the chumps faced by Federer in his early years :) Nole has proven himself, Federer isnt even in the race.
Nole has far surpassed Federer and quite deserves to be called the GOAT...superior H2H, more Masters, far better competition levels, all court prowess, etc. He will surely one day overhaul GHATs GS titles too.

Also, Nole has more wins at Monte Carlo Masters and Italian Open than GHAT.Another important criteria.

Mr. Clone, its very early to claim Djokovic as the GOAT... he still lags Fed by 6 GS and 104 weeks at #1... which are two vital criteria.
Maybe in another 2 or 3 years, Djokovic can become the GOAT, since he is on the right track... but we'll have to wait and see.
But I'm relieved that I no longer have to put facts and records claiming Nadal is not the GOAT.

Completing a career slam is very important to become the GOAT, which Djoko is yet to achieve.
The greatest of all-time tag is now a race between Federer and Djokovic....
Djoko has now overtaken Nadal in all the aspects... better h2h, more masters titles, more world tour final titles, more weeks at #1. Only aspect he lags is the GS titles... but he is sure to go past Nadal in another couple of years.
