Overreaction from everybody including maria
by sruesh on Mar 08, 2016 03:24 PM

I was appalled about the reaction frm players as well as sponsors as if she committed some horrible inhuman crime..its disgusting to see maria want to be a media celebrity..she can easily allowed to play ..no need to enquire abt it...

Its not her mistake
by rajesh venkatraman on Mar 08, 2016 11:41 AM

She cannot be blamed as this drug was made as a banned substance only this Jan 1st 2016 and it was allowed all these years and she did not take it to enhance her performance in the previous years. She had taken it on Doctors advise for vitamin deficiency (Magnesium) and for the diabetic history of her family elders.
Now she should seek advice of the medical fraternity on the alternatives that she can take to participate in the tennis competitions going forward

Quiet confusing
by ranjit desai on Mar 08, 2016 11:29 AM

It does not appear to be a huge offence since the drug was not in the list and introduces from 1st January 2016. May be she should have declared in the month of January itself and sought some solution.

It is difficult to understand. does this mean that people with diabetes and magnesium deficiency should not take medicines to play tennis or take medicine and quit playing tennis? something wrong somewhere
