What heartbrake???
by Sandeep Singh on Jun 23, 2016 10:11 PM

If MK couldn't qualify, then she shouldn't get emotional like that...she must accept with her brain that she is beyond her best

Goodbye Mary Kom.
by Kersie Madon on Jun 23, 2016 05:17 PM  | Hide replies

She would not have won even if she was selected. Her qualification bout which she lost was without brains & only punch power. Her opponent knew how to tackle that. Her opponent was very shrewd & out performed her. Mary knows that she did not train hard to win & be selected. Lethargy crept in her training schedule & with the Bollywood movie on her, it went to her head. Wild card entry for a sportsperson is a poor way to enter. Goodbye Mary. Had enough of you. Keep enjoying yourself in past glory as long as fools glorify yr past.

by gunesh marathe on Jun 23, 2016 04:11 PM

Our sport person do not know when to stop. They think they deserve there seat on their previous achievements and keep on playing. why they not stop at peak time ..? then blame game starts.

Mary Kom

I think she is well past her sell-by date and she must accept the facts. Her behaviour, in the last international tournament she participated in, has not helped her situation.

The time to quit is when people say WHY and not Why not? Mary Kom your time to quit has come as you can never win a gold medal in a world championship again.
Your glory days are behind you and now its time for family and the home.

Mary Kom Farewell
by Ranjith Lall on Jun 23, 2016 12:19 PM

I think taking permanent retirement is the right way to go for Mmmmmmary Kom now as she is a pale shadow of her pastform and fitness. She is also bioxing in a higher weight category from one in which she won most of her medals. She has no ghost of chance of winning a medal in the Olympics or any World Championship for sure.
