Its the same old story. We Indians cannot keep our ego aside even for the country. Any wonder then that China goes ahead by leaps and bounds, while we cannot move even a centimetre?
Paes has nothing to prove any more. Apart from all his 18 Slams, he has already won an Olympic medal, that too an individual medal, which Bopanna cannot even dream of winning. A great sportsman like him should not just ask for playing his seventh Olympics with mediocre Bopanna, who, has never done anything great in Olympics or slams, but has only created problem for a great sportsperson like Paes due to jealousy. History of Tennis will remember Paes, and not the other one.

Correctly written. Paes deserves Bharat Ratna. Paes should not worry ,Indian public is with you.
Current ranking – Bopanna 10, Paes-46, MYneni-125. Combine ranking Myneni-Bopanna-135 and Paes – Bopann-56 which is highest in Asia at present. Clearly Paes-Bopanna will be better than Myneni- Bopanna. Further Bopanna did not win any Grand Slam till date. Runners up in one Grand slam only. Higher ranking due to playing ATP masters tours. Career titles of Bopanna is 14, Myneni is 0 and Paes is 55. As both Paes and Myneni are same right court player there is no question about position. Paes has won 18 grand slam, current form is also at peak, so regarding experience and current form, Paes must be included in the team if India want a medal in Tennis. But if Olympic tour is the only target choice any one. ITA must intervene and include Paes.
Its' OK for everyone and Indian talent. Paes does deserve to go to Rio in national interest but Bopanna is not wrong in betting on a young and equally deserving Myneni. Let us hope some new option is worked out within IOC rules to make all ends meet.

But in 2012 olympic , Paes was not allowed to select his choice of Player (Bopanna). At that time , Bhupathi and Bopanna played foul. Mirza played unwillingly with Leander and the result no medal in 2012 from Tennis. And this time Bopanna is playing foul. Mirza should partner Leander. Mirza should remember that Paes has defeated her in the recently concluded French open, so she should understand who is the best player among Bopanna and Paes

Don't Regret LEANDER, u are already in the Hall of Fame of Indian & International Tennis. It is just a formality Bopanna will surely go to Rio and Lose in the very first match and will come back to India to say Sorry......
Leander paes is a great sports person of India. He had always represented India with heart. I remember his semifinal(vs. Andre Agassi) and the bronze medal match(vs. A Brazilian). He had defeated Pete Sampras in his career. Does Bupathi , Bopanna or Sania Mirza had accomplished this feat any time in their career of defeating the top-5 tennis singles player in their career?. Absolute ,No. He was the main architect of the Davis cup world group win over France in France. He had won number of grandslams and still it will be more. He deserves the participation in the Rio olympics. Did Bopanna had won any grandslam?. How he can do injustice to the man of the caliber like Leander Paes. It was very much unfortunate in 2012 olympic ,when India returned without any medal in Tennis. Same history will be repeated because of Bopanna and Mirza. The country will held them responsible.
