I have seen his dribbling skills against top notch teams of the world.Very few have matched his skills at-least in India.I was fascinated with the game of hockey after seeing this legends game.I also had seen him on the premises of AIIMS,New Delhi in 1987 when his young daughter was admitted at C-N center for a cardiac surgery.Hats off to this legend.

Legend

He was a legend of the 1970s-80s hockey team and a complete wizard at dribbling with the hockey stick. The best of his generation. He would have left dozens of defenders losing their shoes due to his lightning quick changes in direction. He gave delight to millions of Indians during his playing days. May he rest in peace eternally.

Heartiest condolence to great Sahid. Always loved to see playing you especially against Pakistan. Didn't saw Dhyanchand but saw you like magician.

Really sad and premature ending to a stalwart whose dribbling and speed took my heart away during my childhood.RIP Mr. Shahid.
