In this dirty country politics combined with dishonesty pervades every field, Education Science, Medicine, Judiciary etc. Why should sports be an exception. True Sagar, but we as an Indian are no less responsible. India was a great country and can still be it depends on us Indian.
Will the new sports minister show some spirit and give this lady the opportunity she has earned. Whether India wins or not, she must get a chance to captain.

If she is dropped on attitude ground she deserves the punishment. Team is always above the player. Success should not go to head instead she should have been humble and sincerely led the team. I hail hockey officials for their firm action if the allegations against Ritu are true.
Once again problems with Hockey India. Just when we were feeling good about the Silver Medal at Champions Trophy (for men) and women qualifying for Olympics for the first time, the ugly scenes are unfolding. Sardar Singh is also replaced by Sreejesh while Ritu Rani is replaced and dropped from the team itself.
I expect PM Narendra Modi to get into the murky affairs of some of the associations and set things right in the interest of the nation. It may be a small issue for him, as compared to the issues like economics, insurgency etc. But, unless someone like him intervenes the game and the players will suffer in India.

These allegations can not be believed. Any player will not do wrong when their dream is just few days ahead...I was traveling in same flight from Bangalore to Delhi 2 days before along with Women Hockey team and there seems no excitement or energy on team India faces before leaving to Rio Olympics....deeply hurting as an Indian
