Sania Mirza has brought name, charm and glamour to Indian women's tennis. She fully deserves her fame achieved inspite of numerous hurdles and in a country where only cricketeers seem to be treated like demi-Gods. Her latest doubles achievements of so many grand slams in partnership with Martina Hingis is really superb. May be she might have done well in singles too but probably lack of time to play singles could be the reason for her doubles preference. Also by writing her autobiography she has shown her writting talent too. Her jealous critics many of them only becaus she is from the minority community ,have to eat their words. Keep it up Sania. India is proud of you.

Wrong to make your comment political edgar menezes.....smacks of malicious intention ....sania mirza as a sports icon is above such crafty misuse of her apolitical image in the larger interest of the sports fraternity of India which has nothing to do with politics.

It's actually a couple of highly controversial guys who made disparaging comments on her outfits, namely Owaisi and Zakir Naik.
It was her own community leaders who made life difficult for her.
