Samples of players su-su are preserved for four years !!! For what ? These should be kept till end of games, thats all. Once medals are given away these su-su samples should also be flushed down the drain. Now these fellows will re-test Yogeshwar's samples again. What were they doing all these years ??? Are the reports not kept online? * In India most labs give computerised results wthin 24 hours, the olympic committee should give them the task of testing the samples. They seem to be hopelessly out of date.
Upgradation to Silver does not alter life to Yogeshwar. It will neither result in higher awards and recognition to him from Govt or Society nor he will get any other benefits whatso ever he got if he had silver at the time of 2012

His gesture is worth Gold. NOw he got Gold Medal but not Silver. Yes. He got the title. What is Silver Medal for him? That is the generosity of Indians. Respecting an opponent is greatest sportsman spirit. Great Yogeshwar.
Indians lack 'killer inctinct'... now this is proved..... Can we recollect that (in)famous centenary test where G R Vishwanath recalled Tony Mann after he was declared out .. then india lost the test.... this yogeshwar should have simply collected the silver medal... no need of becoming 'Global Hero'...!!
Yogeshwar needs to be commended for his gesture ... true sporting titan is Yogeshwar Dutt. Hope the Govt. of India and Indian Olympic Association honor him for this gesture.
