The claim that \"she herself denied any such arrangement\" is ridiculous! how can anyone imagine asking for basic need like water/energy drink and even sanitation ( god knows what arrangements did the officials consider \"optional\"?) -- even the thought that the athlete should have to specify that he/she needs water/etc is unimaginable!
Really disturbed to hear about the plight of our athlete who was denied water while running a marathon. It is the responsibility of the officials to provide water for their athletes and officials claim that she refused to use the availability is not acceptable. It seems there has been a error and has to be found out an people responsible must be punished for such atttitude. The expenses incurred on these officials must be taken back and must be barred from any more events in future.

Regret to note that SPORTS PERSONS LIKE SPORTS MINISTER OF INDIA AND OF HARIYANA have not been included. They took all pains to travel by business class/ first class to RIO to cheer the indian contigent with their BABUS. why not some NGOS come forward and fike a PIL at supreme court to recover the cost incurred for their traveling to RIO. m.das

MY friends told that he is BHARAT RATNA FOR CRICKET ONLY and hence not entiled to express views other than cricket. Have not seen in news channels even after whatever little achivements in olympics of MR, SACHIN TENDULKAR. Again friends said he had played cricket only when he wanted and he is more busy in commercial ads than o attend RAJYA SHABHA or such spors event.pl alo remember he was the OLYMPIC AMBY NOMINATED. It teems India's purpose at Olympics was to participate and NOT to win medals. Till the bureaucracy controls the sports,results will not change,as the bureaucracy's attitude never changes ,so India's fate will never change.With all earnest efforts of the PM to bring technocrats and specialist in their respective fields,results has been that more posts have been grabbed by serving and retired bureaucrats in preceding 2 years. Even the Minister on visit to Olympics was only interested in enjoying and image building.His huge entourage of bureaucrats only lowered countys image. If VADA chief could not even establish rapport with his counterpart, WADA,then why did he cleared the wrestler? Just to further humiliate the country? All inquiries and investigation,all by bureaucracy, will now blame the sports-personnel's for not preparing themselves adequately. Minimum what the govt can do is to just overall the entire sports machinery and start anew now for the next event.
