Olympics 2020 - INDIA'S PLAN
by yogesh shinde on Aug 23, 2016 04:21 PM

Can't the Indian Government just bribe Michael Phelps of USA to renounce the American Citizenship and take Indian citizenship ?
This way, we can at least win around 20 to 22 medals and we don't even have to spend on other athletes.
If Bollywood can employ Hollywood technicians and boast to produce "world-class movies", can't Indian Government do the same?

Not a single Indian, that I met wants things to be cleared and ACTION taken against the CULPRITS in the DOPING incident - HALF the Indians KNOW that Narsingh is the CULPRIT and the OTHER HALF - are SURE that Narsingh is the VICTIM!!!!! When we have such highly LEARNED indians - who needs to ENQUIRE about the TRUTH??? - who needs to book the CULPRITS???

NOT a single post....
by Anand sodo on Aug 23, 2016 12:16 AM

Not a single post on this platform speaks for or on behalf of the players - All we can give our sports persons - Is - comments like that of SHOBHA DEY - and ALL we expect is - nothing less than a MEDAL! -How big FOOLS we are! - Deepa Karmakar - did NOT win a medal - BUT - She has accomplished the same feat that Milkha Singh had - in his time- came 4th in a Sport in which India had no standing!

BUT then Sir we are Indians - and we only know how to CRITICISE! - We just can NEVER - appreciate!

Re: Repechage is a backdoor entry to try for a medal.

When the BRAIN goes corrupt mankind ceases to remain human! - REPECHAGE -is something that immature minds cannot understand - Any person who is defeated by the Gold?silver medal winner - is undoubtedly better than the loser - which is true even in repechage - Any person defeated by the Gold/Silver Medal winners is USELESS - is a product of a RETARDED brain - A person defeated by the gold/silver medal winner can be any where between the third best to the worst - there fore this repechage system. Some thing FOOLS can NEVER understand!

I am speaking about repechage and NOT about any individual.

I am not questioning the Repechage system, just pointing out that it is not the best way to expect to win a medal. A person getting defeated in early rounds, there is very little probability of that victor going onto the finals. That has been shown clearly in the case of Yogeshwar & Sandeep Tomar. Sakshi lost at Q/F stage thats why there were better chances of her victor getting across to the Silver medal & she could win bronze. Someone who gets defeated in 1st or 2nd round, the chances of getting a repechage shot is extremely slim. Please understand the essence of the post before going on a diatribe.

YOU are 'MENTALLY STUCK' up to the best way and the not best way - THEN - is your father the BEST? - DID you have a CHOICE? who your father should be? - It is the same with any PLAYER - he has no choice to choose his/her opponent - Therefore this system - and this is the BEST way to correct things from going WRONG.

In a war - India will lose to CHINA - BUT - does that mean that India has lost to Pakistan, Burma, Nepal, Bangladesh Sri Lanka also - Because just as china they too are our neighboring countries????

What connection has a parental lineage have to do with all this? Nobody can choose their father but a athelete can certainly practice hard & ensure he wins bouts not be dependant on someone else to reach the finals so as to ensure him to have a shot at the medal. No athelete gets to choose his draw, still the best in the business win medals. Michael Phelps did not get a chance to choose which swimmer he will compete with neither did Usain Bolt get to know who are the runners with him who are going to compete in the heats. Thats how it works. I repeat, I have nothing against the repechage system, it is just that wrestlers need to win bouts to win medals & not be dependant on their competitor to reach the finals when they have been defeated fair & square.

Sakshi 2016 or yogeshwar 2012 - REPECHAGE - Repechage is losing to CHINA - and winning the Bronze after fighting - pak, burma bhutan...... We are weaker to Gold and Silver BUT stronger than ALL OTHERS.!

A BRONZE medal winner is NOT the BEST - BUT - he/she is not necessarily the WORST- and REPE gives him/her a chance to PROVE

India lose to China because they are the most powerful nation in Asia. Thats not the case for our other puny neighbours, if Yogeshwar was pitted against a very strong opponent in the 1st round itself, then how come he did not go on to the finals. China can defeat all of the countries which you have mentioned including India, was that the case for Yogeshwar's conqueror in round 1?

Repechage is GOOD or BackDoor entry? as per your own language!!!! - yogeshwar got repe in 2012 and sakshi in 2016 therefore do not use the name of yogesh in 2016.if you are speaking of repechage.

If you are speaking 2016 - there is no repe for yogesh - and all my arguments are in favour of repechage and NOT yogeshwar. - As for Yogeshwar - all I know is that i stand NO WHERE near yogeshwar in wrestling - therefore I am NO ONE to CRITICISE him!!!!!!same holds for YOU too

In 2012, Yogeshwar did not get eliminated in the 1st round, he was defeated in pre quater finals which was after winning 2 rounds. I am not mad lady but a mad man...by your standards. Funny you report my post as abuse yet you are using the most foul personal language in each of your post.

We are talking about 2016 here & not what he did in 2012. You have no answer to your own logic, that China can defeat every neighbour of India in war, so if China is India's 1st opponent, then using repechage analogy, India is bound to get a 2nd shot at trying for a win. China will not only get into finals but win the gold when it comes to war between India & its neighbours. Why did not Yogeshwar's opponent win like China can? why did his victor bite the dust in the very next round bout itself this time? Any answers mr. Smart pants?

Mr Dhantannan, the third class man I have ever seen on Rediff. Why you are not man enough and after Sania Nehwals blood for last few days by criticising her non stop without any basis. Topi hand has no grudge or complaint against her. You go through the records and see Sainas achievement in the past. She couldn't fare well due to injury and she was operated on last Saturday and will require four months rest. If you have guts why don't you inform the real reasons of your continueously tirade against one of the great Badmington player. Be man enough and spare a lady a find someone who can give you fitting reply.

MOST Indians, specially those - who cannot differentiate a Tennis Racket from a Badminton racket - KNOW that they are the EXPERTS - and ALL PLAYERS are just fools! - wasting their entire TIME, MONEY, ENERGY and LIFE -for the SAKE of a simple MEDAL - so that these 'EXPERT SCOUNDRELS'- can BOAST - and the next time if you fail - you've had it...Shameless Indians...
