All credit for Badminton in modern India goes to the truely forgotten legend, the legend of legends, shri Prkash Padukone; now known only on his daughter Deepika's fame. When nobody knew about Badminton in India, he won the All England Championship. Syed Modi, AmiGhia all followed.

ok. Prakash Padukone was a legend. He inspired a lot of people. But what did he do to Badminton after retirement? Compare to what Gopichand has done. Saina, Sindu, P Kashyap, K Srikanth, Guru Sai dutt.. and the list goes on. I am sad to say that Prakash Padukone's only contribution after retirement to India is Deepika Padukone :-(

After long struggle and hard work players win medals many company and states are honouring them This chsnce playing is once in life time for few But as individual it is very rare that film stars who also after hard work earn money donot gift them any money to winners
