Pullela Gopichand
by M S on Aug 17, 2016 04:36 PM

This is hardwork of Pullela Gopichand, who runs the badminton academy in Hyderabad. He has given world class facilities to all these players in Hyderabad and hence they are able to perform on world stage. Govt should make a note. if facilities are provided, our players are able to perform.

AND SINDHU CONTINUES THE SHOW - - -

Yes , As I said yesterday Sindhu could beat Yihan , came true .

Today evening also , Shrikant can shock two times Olympic gold medalist Lin Dan of China .

It was Saina who was the first Indian girl shuttler in history of Indian Badminton to defeat Chinese girls many times & end Chinese dominance in the game & Sindhu continues the show .

Incidently both were students of Gopichand Acedemy at Hyderabad .

Idiots are those who criticizes Indian Olympic players .
These criticizers themselves might not have achieved anything in their lives hence bash others , which is very easy job .

Remember , it takes lot lots of efforts to reach Olympic level .
You need to give your blood & sweat since childhood & train 12-14 hrs a day .

HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR THEIR HARD WORK THEY PUT IN .

Very well said. She has comparatively bad record against Okuhara than the other semifinalists carolina and Xuerui. But that doesn't matter as she has proven against Yihan. Regarding Srikanth, if he han beat Super Dan infront of his home fans in the Chinese open finals why not here

Proud of Indian shuttlers
by Joseph Thodukayil on Aug 17, 2016 10:05 AM

Congrats to both Sindhu and Srikant for their outstanding performance at Rio Olympics and sincerely hope that they could win a medal each for the highly medal-starved India. Best wishes to them. The habit of being cynical if a champion fails to perform as he/she was supposed to, would not do any good to any one.Remember, today's champion may not be the champion tomorrow. So let us stop the practice of throwing brickbats at some one who couldnot perform due to some issues. It will only help to douse the sports spirit in them. Let us encourage everyone, both the victor and the vanquished so that more and more persons could be attracted to the arena of sports.
