A fantastic display by Super Sri against one of the greatest ever. He had Lin really nervous for two whole sets. No discredit in losing like this. All the best in future tournaments.
Not many would like to face Lin Dan before finals, but it is unfortunate that Srikant had to face him in quarters, but Hatsoff to Srikant for showing the courage to fight back after down in first set and matching Lin Dan in every aspect. Overall a great match.
The last two sets in the quarter final match of Srikant with Lin Dan displayed the fighting spirit of the former. While the first set exposed the nervousness in him, the second set was an easy one for him thanks to the tips of his coach and his grit. A couple of unforced errors and a few overhead smashes which landed in the net cost him his third game. He was equally good at the net as Lin Dan which were quite deceptive. But over all a superb show by Srikant. Congrats and best wishes to him.
Srikanth could have won the match but for error of judgement. He played returns which were going out. He has to improve on that. Otherwise he will only get better
All I could see was one great upcoming champion almost outclassing the existing chinese champion who was found simply wanting in his second round and lost it poorly to k.sri. Even the final game sri could haven won had he held his nerves and stayed calm.
