Though the Rio athletes deserves all our respects for their efforts, proposal for awarding or even recommending them for top Sports awards is not good for the Indian Sports. As per knowledge, Khel Ratna is Bharat Ratna of sports. If this is given to any of the past or present olympians, what will we give to an "Indian Usain Bolt" in future? Won't such "vote bank politics" type recommendations create jealousy and rivalry among other Olympians / sports associations / sports communities?
