certainly get many more clicks if it replaces its updates on how Indian athletes fared at the Olympics with a live update on the country wise medals table !
It is immensely more interesting to watch how the US and China fare against each other in the gold medal tally each passing day of the Olympics than to keep hearing about one Indian athlete after another getting placed between ranks 8th and 42nd in events !
In archery our girls performance was much better than in London.Although they lost in the Qtrs narrowly but they gave quite creditable performance.Laxmi Majhi appears to be the weak link while the seniors Deepika and B/Devi shot well although they faltered under pressure when it mattered most.So the mental aspect seems to be their weakness.On the whole I think they did well and certainly not disgraced the way much hyped shooting contingent have done.Frankly the shooting contingent looks to be more hype than substance and don't be surprised if it draws a blank as even the best prospects have performed below par.In girls hockey the way they bounced back from 0-2 deficit was remarkable reflecting their grit and fighting quality.With low expectations whatever they achieve will be a bonus.
