lets salute this REAL HERO of Indian sports, we can't call him veterent even at this age, he should be role model for all the youngster because of his sheer commitment rather than all RETAKE HEROS......
He deserves a Bharat Ratna....today tennis not only in India also in Asia is prospering because of Leander.. i still remember he use to lone participants from Asia against the dominant Europeans and Americans.. now Asia is becoming Tennis Power house..courtesy Leander..

Absolutely...he is definitely on par with Sachin, Vishy on performance and contribution to Indian sports..

at par with Vishy yes, but sachin? I don't think so. sachin towards the fag end of his career had appeared to become self-centric in a team game whereas Leander is a team man in an individual sport.
This is simply unbelievable. Leander Paes still winning Grand Slam titles even at 40! And he first won in 1991! That's a gap of 24 years! Probably a Guinness record! Congratulations Paes. Sorry but the print and TV media will tuck away your stupendous achievement in some corner of their heap of yellow news like the Indrayani case. But we Indians love you and are proud of you.
