Our ambition and expectation to win the Gold in Olympics still remains a distant dream. It is not due to fall in standards of the game but in lack of coaching secrets. All foreign coaches do the routine including pep talk but the winning formula is never taught to the team. It has been seen in the past that the team plays exceedingly well on a day but o the contrary faulters the next day and falls prey to the pressures from the opponents. So, the performance is not consistenet and doesn\'t improve game after game. Sometime the last TEN minutes is a nightmare for them. Why? Een noe this deficiency is not addressed by any coach. The sqnder the lead taken in the last few minutes and invariably fail to hold on to it. Pathetically getting out thus irks the fans as well as the governors of the game. So thhue and cry starts for sacking the coach after very event. In India there is no dearth of talents but the selection process is much wanting. Biased selection, favouritsm and only a hand few are always making the grade despite poor performance, is very transparent. Blamin the coaches is an easy route to the administrators and first this should be addressed appropriately. This ails our national game.We are hurt. Every fan holds his head in shame, disgusted and disappointed.
