In no way is the China Open any less than the All-England. It's only a hangover from the past to say that it is above the China Open in some way. And Saina won the China Open last year !

It is unnecessary to bring parallel to them like orange and apple. Both of them are glory for India. Saina whatever has done already is more than life size. Asking more from her is unjustified.

Suggestions & comments have poured in regarding Saina's achievements & how she could improve. No one is sparing a thought on Carolina Marin the winner. This aggressive player dominates her opponents by her style of play, which makes it difficult for them to alter their style of game. This is what happened to Saina in both All England & World Championship finals.Marin did not allow Saina to play her game, a fact which many seem to have missed.
Sania Mirza is better than Saina Nehwal because despite being an average single player, she realized her potential as a doubles player and is now No. 1 doubles player in the world and even won Wimbledon, the most prestigious event in Tennis.
I think she is playing remarkably consistently and has been in the top 5 for a long time. In a highly competetive sport like badminton that is an achievement in itself. The longer she stays in the top 5, she is bound to win a major title sooner than later.
Going by her form during the Word Ch in Jakarta and Qtr final win against the Chinese she was expected to at least make a match of it if not win.But the abject surrender as seen in All England was very disappointing. Till that final she was playing so well ,moving nicely covering the entire court with ease.But in the final possibly in trying to slow down the fast paced Marin made too many mistakes in the net game.While Marin looked in complete control Saina looked tense and tentative.She certainly needs to improve on the mental side because too often she starts making mistakes towards closing stages of a game she is winning.In fact Sindhu played one of her best games in the qtr although she lost to the Korean.Easily it was the best match of the tournament.Then why not Saina & Sindhu take advantage of one anothers' strengths and play each other more often at home that will them better to cope with pressure situation towards preparation for Rio.

Yes . I also concur with the idea of frequent matches between Saina and Sindhu back home, which could fine tune their skills.I feel, the main reason behind Saina's failing in the All England and World Championship finals is the pressure factor due to the prestige attached to these two titles.Logically thinking,all these champions play in all other major international matches too,where she could beat Carolina and the like. So more emphasis to toughen the mind and improving the confidence could help her. One could easily decipher the body languages of Carolina and Saina in the last match. While the former cheer with her hand on winning a point and looked defiant even after losing a point too, the latter didn't show any such emotions. I feel this body language could have a positive effect on one's own and a negative effect on the opponent's performance.

one more suggestion:why not have regular competitive matches 2-3 times in a yr between Gopi Vs Vimal combos of WS,MS,MD,WD,MD etc.Of course it has to be among the topmost world ranking players only.
