Sania Mirza is an Indian.She is an achiever.Like so many Indians She is married a person of different country and stays mostly in Dubai with her husband or in Hyderabad with her parents.Lot of other achiever also do the same thing,in most cases the country of their choice is USA,UK,france,Switzerland etc.Surptisingly in Sanias case there is so much noise and her credentials are often questioned.Along with her lot many achievers name has been recommended by differnt body to the government but there is no sensation in it.So many discussion and Prachar is only diminishing the very idea of motivation to youngsters as they are confused about the criteria of having it.Sania you continue to do your job.Country want more from you and be a role model for a just and hatefree India.Jai Hind.
is she still a Indian? She married 2 a Pakistani & recently found dancing with other with her husband & pak players for their success. 'Rajib Gandhi Khel Ratna' prize in only for the Indians.
IN FACT SHE DESERVE FOR THIS AWARD,FOR LAST 2-3 YRS.SHE HAS SHOWN REMARKABLE COURAGE TO WIN GRAND SLAM TOURNAMENTS,WHICH WAS ALWAYS A NIGHTMARE FOR INDIAN WOMAN IN PAST.SANIA IS REALLY GREAT.

I am not clear how they judge a person for nomination and award of a person for this prestigious award.Off course she has shown remarkable courage and grit to reach at no.1 stage among women doubles. But she has earned a lot also.I suppose the earnings are not taxable in India.What about her performance in Federation Cup or the events in which Nations participate?
