All true tennis lovers are hoping Rafa gets back to his best as soon as possible.Otherwise there is no competition for Djoko and he might even do a calendar slam this year.Djoko and Nadal are the only 2 players in the modern era who are capable of a calendar slam because of their command on all surfaces and total dominance.Even in his heyday (2003-2007 where there was no real competition) Federer was never a real threat on clay.Whereas Djoko has shown that he can take on and beat Nadal, even in his prime, on clay too. One hopes that the greatest rivalry of all time, Djoko vs Nadal , is revived in its full glory. The rest are all just ornamental pieces, especially Federer who should take this chance to retire, because once the top players like Rafa, Murray,Ferrer etc are back to best form , Fedes ranking will fall off a precipice and he will require a wild card entry.
Nadal will soon be out of his prime... I don't see him winning another French open, or any other GS for that matter.. Its better for him to retire at the top rather than becoming like Hewitt.
Federer has been at the top 3 ranking because of his style of play... which is easy on his body. Whereas Nadal's style wont allow him to last beyond 30 yrs of age... and he is already on the decline.
Djokovic should be the top ranked player for another 2 or 3 yrs and he is on the way to having a better H2H against Nadal and Fed. Djoko will surely beat Nadal's masters titles record. Once he betters Nadals masters and h2h record, Nadal will no longer be in the race for GOAT.... It will be either Djoko or Fed or both.

4 yrs ago, Fed was 29 and just out of his prime... since then he has been in 3 GS finals and won 1 at wimby.... now Nadal is in the same position Fed was in 4 yrs ago... Nadal will turn 29 in June this year. Even if Nadal achieves the same as Fed did since 29 yrs age, Nadal might win one more GS... which should take his GS tally to 15.... but that itself seems improbable. Fed's greatness is that he still is ranked in top 2, even at 33.
