Respect Saina. You are doing a good job and you reached the Numero Uno position for a few days. But time to win a big trophy to back your big talks. Without an Olympic, World or All England Open title, no one would get you as the Real Champ.
Bye the way Carolina Marin is No Chinese and she is the true World No. 1

What are you talking man ?

Has Saina Over reacted ? When ? Where ?

Which Big Talk you are referring to ?

What do you mean by Real No. 1. ? If Saina gets No. 1 Rank is it not real ?

If some one else gets No. 1 Rank it is real ??

Are you not happy with Saina's No. 1 Rank ? Why ?

Come On Celebrate with open mind !!

Saina "THE ACE"
by Raj rajan on Apr 08, 2015 06:08 PM

Saina Nehwal has been one of the few Indian sports women to have reach the pinnacle in badminton. One has to be agree without hard work and success it is impossible to reach such heights. She has taken this sport to a new height and i hope in coming years this sport will become more popular and many will take this as an career option. "Saina" - India is very proud of your achievement and and i hope you continue like this in years to come.

VANITY ???

Saina has shown, time and again , lack go grace which a champion sportsperson must have. Compare her to other No. ! players( except McEnroe) and she falls short in all departments ! Her craving fro Padma Vibhushan was in bad taste. She is saying things about herself which others should say !!!

You are going off topic. Saina achieved No. 1 Rank, solely by her hard work and dedication and let's celebrate this rare feat.

As regards Padma Awards controversy, it's well established fact that, one has to lobby and fight babudom and bureaucracy to get it and Saina exposed it by her actions. She was questioning the authorities if Sushil Kumar was shortlisted for the award, then why not she ? And she was proven right, ultimately. Sports ministry did shortlist her for the award after her outburst.

Please check facts before you comment about a world class sports ambassador of the nation.

your comments are in poor taste. She is just 25. Why wud she not relish her success. She deserves Khel Ratna as in a globally competitive singles game she has made an indelible mark. Otherwise also, after shortlisting for the awards also she is playing great game...As against total gvernment sponsorship in China, in India one has to become a great player and then the support from government comes when the player does not need it anymore.....Kudos to Saina

Gentleman, take her words in right perspective and choose your words carefully. Is she boasting about anything ?

Her first reaction was when she achieved World No. 1 Rank. It is called humility. The comment above is from email interview, probably in response to specific question.

Lastly, gentleman instead of congratulating and celebrating Saina's World No. 1 Rank, you are advising her to improve ! It will be better if you could tell us, who are you ? Are you a Badminton Player a Coach or an Expert ? But your comment and advise to Saina gives a impression that Probably you may not even know how to properly grip the badminton racket !

Good that you are having such high expectations from her. She is just 25 and is constantly evolving and getting better. Hopefully we will see an opympic champion in her and wish that she holds no.1 rank for more time in the future

Gentleman, Ranking is decided based on points awarded to player based on his / her performance in last 52 weeks. It is obvious that, if player wins major tournament, his / her ranking will rise.

In short, who ever has earned most points during last 52 weeks will top the ranking and to earn points one has to win.

You may not know all these things but don't claim that Saina and her Coach also do not know this.

Initial comment by both Saina and her Coach is obvious because point difference between No 1 to No 3, at present is very less and these ranking is going to change every week due to comparable wins, losses or even non participation in a tournament.

Let's celebrate No 1 Ranking !! Which is so hard to achieve and too rare in Indian scenario.

Secondly, do not judge Sania for her humility or lack of it by one-off incidences.
