Why does the Indian print and electronic media always use phrases like 'India assured a silver' and 'India assured of bronze'. Does this not give a false sense of satisfaction to the athletes before the next round? Will not phrases like 'India in the hunt for Gold' or 'India one win away from the final' go much further in encouraging our athletes to give their all to get the gold? It is because of this pessimistic attitude which our media portrays that we fetch only bronzes and at most silvers!
